Gloris "Charlene" Hoeferle, 86, Cunningham, TN, formerly of Crawfordsville, IN, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023.  She was born April 18, 1937, in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of the late Charles and Gloris Hasper.

Charlene was a proud graduate of Keokuk High School, class of '55, and continued to gather with a group of high school friends, the "Galz of '55", each year until just a few years ago. She was a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church, Crawfordsville, and was employed by Holiday Inn, Crawfordsville for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Martin "Marty" Hasper, her beloved husband, Paul L. Hoeferle and her son-in-law, Leo Schafer.

She is survived by four loving children, Stephen Hoeferle of Elwood, IN, Scott (Robin) Hoeferle of Crawfordsville, Lisa (Chip) Knight of Cunningham, TN, and Lori Schafer of Poland, IN.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; Stephanie (Rian) Sutton, Samuel (Ebonnie) Hoeferle, Charles Hoeferle, Elizabeth (Corey) Stokes, Tommy (Wesley) Wade, Kaitlyn Wade, Paul "PJ" Schafer, Kortney Knight, Holly (Isaac) Wilbur, Bailey (Matthew) Davis and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, July 7, at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Kelly Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.  Friends may visit with the family from 11 AM Friday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church.
