Gordon “Doc” Lewellen, 87 of Crawfordsville, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 22, 1938, in Waynetown to Edward & Mary West Lewellen. He served in the US Navy. Gordon then worked at Kroger for many years until his retirement. He attended the Darlington Christian Church.
On September 3, 1957, he married Shirley Jean Newlin. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2025.
He is survived by his children, Kathy (Kevin) Howell, Mary (John) Aldridge, William (Pam) Lewellen, Charles (Janet) Lewellen, and Beth (Brian) Breaks. He has 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 3, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Roger Chapman officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM.
