Harry E. Hutson, 80, of Crawfordsville, died Thursday evening in St. Clare Medical Center.
Mr. Hutson was a former Crawfordsville City Councilman and helped form Little League baseball in Crawfordsville. He worked at Raybestos for 34 years, retiring in 1987. Mr. Hutson was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1944-45.
Mr. Hutson was born July 3, 1927 to Howard Cecil and Nettie Pearl Elzy Hutson. He married Helen Myers, who survives.
Other survivors include sons Sonny (Laura) Hutson; Earl (Linda) Hutson, and Roger (Sandi) Hutson, brothers Clyde Hutson and Harold (Waneta) Hutson, eight grandchildren and five step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren. A son Gerald Hutson is deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hunt & son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with the Rev. Isaac Zull officiating. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial, with military graveside rites by the VFW and American Legion will be in Oak Hill Cemetery North.
