Obituary
Helen F. Gill, 83, of Crawfordsville died on Sunday at Lane House Nursing Home.
Gill was a former Bell Telephone, Montgomery Ward and Holiday Inn employee. She was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church, American Legion Aux., and VFW Aux. She was a New Market High School graduate of 1942.
She was born March 16, 1924 in New Market to Howard Swisher and Dora Swisher. She married Edward Gill on Nov. 9, 1946 in Kokomo.
Her survivors include her husband; son William (Carol) Gill of Sandimas, Calif., daughter Linda (Terry) Gowin of Crawfordsville; brother Howard Swisher, Jr. of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Nina Ray of Kokomo and Louise Hardesty of Marion; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson Andy Gowin.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Wilke will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
