Obituary

Helen Williamson, 92 of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at Williamsburg Healthcare.
She was born July 30, 1926 in New Ross to Earl and Nellie Hadley Williams.
She was a graduate of New Ross High School and Indiana Business College. She was a member the Ladoga Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star and Tri Kappa. She had worked at the BMV for several years. Mrs. Williamson was a faithful spectator and supporter for her children, grandchildren at school activities and sports events during her entire life. She served as an unofficial "chauffeur" for the Ladoga High School boys' baseball, track, and golf teams through the 1960's. Her humor and self-prescribed advice were always at the ready during the road trips. Many family members, friends, and neighbors were at the mercy of her competitiveness during card games, backyard badminton games, and ping pong matches.
She married Robert Williamson on August 17, 1947. He survives.
Additional survivors include her children Steve (Ruthanna) Williamson, David (Janie) Williamson, and Janet (David) Caster; her siblings Homer Williams, Mary Walters, Aileen Young, Doris Dice; a sister-in-law Maxine Williamson; eight grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Harold and Howard Williams and sister Nina Evans.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Whitacre officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects two hours prior to service. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery South.
