Howard L. Dickerson, 76, Crawfordsville, passed away 8:27 PM Wednesday evening in St. Clare Medical Center.

Mr. Dickerson worked for R. R. Donnelly's in Crawfordsville for 30 years in their Preliminary Department before transferring to Harrisburg, Virginia where he was key in establishing their Preliminary Area. He retired from Harrisburg on January 6, 1989. He later came out of retirement and went back to work for R.R. Donnelly's in Reynosa, Mexico.

His memberships included St. Bernard's Catholic Church and R. R. Donnelly's Retiree Club and he was a Crawfordsville High School graduate.

He was born on March 8, 1930 in Crawfordsville to Frank Dickerson and Hiltred Weliever Dickerson. He married Dorothy Ann Meadows on November 14, 1952 and she passed away on December 2, 1969. In 1995 he married Jeane Saxton and she survives at Crawfordsville.

Also surviving are sons, Gary Dickerson of Hillsboro, Ron (Trudy) Dickerson of Crawfordsville, Randy (Missy) Dickerson of Roanoke, VA, Greg Frees and Kevin (Robin) Frees, both of Charleston SC and a daughter, Tia (Kenny) Gross of Danville, IN, brothers, Jim Dickerson of Crawfordsville and Don Dickerson of Winterhaven, FL.

In addition 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews survive.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Dickerson.

Funeral Mass will take place 2:00 PM Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Father David Hellman officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call 4-8 PM Friday in the funeral home.
