Innis N. Coons Howard, 93, of Crawfordsville, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday at Millpond Health Campus in Greencastle.

Mrs. Howard was born Feb. 15, 1917 in Frankfort. She was the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Toney) Coons.

She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1936. She married Charles Kenneth Howard on Dec. 14, 1945. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1979.

She had worked at Wilson Brother's Shirt Factory. She loved quilting, sewing, cooking and her family. She was a member of the Old Union Chapel EUB church.

She is survived by daughter, Janet Lynn Howard of Crawfordsville; sister, Sister, Alberta Coons Denham of Salem; and brother, James W. Coons of Crawfordsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and a sister, Dorothy Coons Delong.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Lewis will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill North Cemetery.
