Jack L. Self of Crawfordsville died Friday morning at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. He was 82.
Born on Oct. 17, 1927 to parent Earl Self and Lillie (Wiseman) Self in Montgomery County, Mr. Self had retired from R.R. Donnelley's after 45 years.
He served in the US Army from May of 1946 to October of 1948. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose and American Legion and was educated in Darlington.
He married Peggy R. Henderson, who survives.
Additional Survivors include daughters Terri (Randy) Trinkle of Crawfordsville and Jeri Jones of Pendleton; sisters Ginny Anglin and Flossie Tonda; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Brenna Sweek and sisters Dorothy Jahnke, Florence Floury and Ada Pickering.
A graveside service will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Darlington Greenlawn Cemetery with The Rev. Jeff Hoenshell. Burial will follow at Darlington Greenlawn Cemetery.
