Jake S. Edmiston, 75, of Crawfordsville
died at 10:30 p.m., Monday, at Home Hospital
in Lafayette.
Born June 10, 1933, in Darlington, he was
the son of Carl Edmiston and Hazel (Harris)
Edmiston.
He graduated from Crawfordsville High
School in 1952 and later married Theresa
Ross, who passed away Jan. 31, 1993.
During the Korean Conflict, he was a corporal
in the U.S. Army.
He had been a partner with Fairfield Contractors
and contracted with the State Highway
Department. He had previously owned Jake's Eastside Gulf.
Memberships included American Legion and the Moose
Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Mark (Cindy) Edmiston; daughters,
Ann (Mike) Fausset, Ellen (Rick) Farnham, Susan (Bob)
McKenzie and Carla (Steve) Guthrie; a brother, John (Betty)
Edmiston; a companion, Sammy May; 11 grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Jay Paul.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, at Hunt & Son
Funeral Home with burial in Calvary Cemetery with VFW and
American Legion rites. A reception will follow immediately at his
home.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son
Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion
40 & 8 Nurse's Aide.
