James "Jim" Bean, 71 of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday at Bickford of Crawfordsville.

He was born in Lebanon to Russell and Mary Jett Bean.  Jim was retired from RR Donnelley and Sons after 40 years. He was an avid sports fan with a special place in his heart for the St. Louis Cardinals, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts and Crawfordsville High School Athletics.

Jim married Judy Ritchie on September 18, 1977, she survives.  Also, surviving are his children, Tony (Amy) Bean, Katrina (Chad) Hill, and Jason (Tracey) Bean; Brother Jerry Bean; Grandchildren Ryan, Nathan, JR, Josh, Jack, and Gabi.  He was preceded in death by his brother John Bean.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be from 1-3 Saturday.  Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery North.  In light of the COVID-19 situation, the Bean family understands that not all who wish will be able to attend.
