James A. Cox, 73, Darlington, passed away Wednesday
at I.U. Health in Lafayette.
He was born April 10, 1941, at Crawfordsville, to James
A. Sr. and Mildred M. (Dull) Cox. He was
a graduate of Crawfordsville High School
and had been a tool and die maker for
Sommer Metalcraft. He enjoyed hunting,
fishing and woodworking. He married
Betty Skillman on June 3, 1966, and they
were married for 48 years. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Mark (Dawn)
Cox of Missouri, Jason Cox of Darlington,
Carolyn (Brad) Miller and Tammy (Brian) Morse, both of
Crawfordsville; sisters, Alberta Pruett and Suzi Petrey,
both of Crawfordsville; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday,
with Pastor Steve Whicker officiating. Burial will follow at
Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday
at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
to the American Cancer Society.
