James Earl Farley, 62, Crawfordsville, died Saturday in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Farley was born Dec. 3, 1944, in Elwood to Leslie and Ivall (Eggers) Farley.
He attended Darlington High School, served in the U.S. Navy and belonged to the Moose Lodge. Mr. Farley was a self-employed mechanic. His marriage was to Darleen Brady.
Survivors include his wife, his father at Darlington, sons Leslie (Melody) Farley, Waynetown; Tom (Penny) Farley, Attica; Steve Brady, Crawfordsville; daughters Betty (Rusty) Allen, and Barb (Bob) Threlkeld, both of Marshall, brother Howard (Terri) Farley, Darlington, sister sherry (Kelly) Foster, Darlington, and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, a son Buzz Farley and a sister Delores Darlene Farley.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Denman officiating. Calling will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the services. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
A dinner for family and friends will be held at the Crawfordsville Community Center behind the Eagles Lodge from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
