James "Jim" Jones, 47, New Ross, passed away 4:00 AM Thursday at the I.U. Medical Center located in Indianapolis following a courageous year long battle with leukemia.
He was owner of J.J. Machine in New Ross which he established in 1988. He was a 1978 graduate of North Montgomery High School.
Jim was a dedicated baseball, basketball and soccer coach for the South Montgomery Community. He truly loved contributing to the youth community.
He was born on December 28, 1958 in Crawfordsville to Kermit Jones & Mary Johnson Jones.
He married Nancy Alderson of Indianapolis on February 14, 1987 at Brownsburg.
As a devoted father and loving husband he is survived by his wife Nancy Jones.
He is also survived by his children, Justin, Austin and Kristin at home, his mother and stepfather, Vernard Allen of Crawfordsville, brothers, Mike of Crawfordsville and Ed Johnson of Lafayette, sisters, Letha Lawson of Texas and Karen Lensgraf of Mississippi.
Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Sunday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home.
Friends may call 2-6 PM Sunday in the funeral home.
