Obituary
James "Jim" Kalweit 82, of Crawfordsville died at 9:35am Sunday in Crawfordsville.
Mr. Kalweit retired from Mid States as a shift foreman in the wire drawing department in 1993 with 32 years of service. He also retired from the Indiana Army National Guard with 20 years of service in 1987 as Sergeant First Class. His memberships include Christ Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge.
He was born August 15, 1930 at Waynetown to Harry and Lois Harlan Kalweit. He married Vivian L. Myers on February 4, 1951 at First Christian Church in Crawfordsville. She preceded him in death. Surviving are a daughter Mrs Terri Cravens and a son Dale Kalweit both of Crawfordsville. Five grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 14 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor John Stacy officiating. Visitation will be 9-11 Wednesday. Interment will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Military Rites at graveside.
Memorial contributions may be made to Williamsburg Resident Activity Fund.
