(James) Michael Lohorn, 64 of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away on October 8, 2018 after a brief illness.
Mike was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana to James and Jean Lohorn on October 2, 1954. He graduated from North Montgomery High School, as well as the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. After a career with the Crawfordsville Police Department, rising to the rank of Assistant Chief of Police, he attended Wabash College graduating in 1992. Mike attended IU McKinney Law School and after graduation practiced law in Lafayette, Indiana. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a former member of the vestry.
Mike is survived by his wife of almost 32 years, Peggy (Quint) Lohorn, his children Beau (Kelly) Priebe, Ashley (Matthew) Kendricks, Kelley (Beth) Simpkins, Kerry (Kayla) Lohorn. He is also survived by his true joy in life, his grandchildren, William, Blake, Kory, Claire, Michael and the future baby Simpkins. Mike is also survived by his mother Jean (Kirkpatrick) Lohorn, his brother Scott (Reva) Lohorn and his sister Lena Custer and preceded in death by his father James Lohorn.
Friends and Family may call from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Whitlock Hall, Saint John's Episcopal Church, 212 S. Green Street, Crawfordsville, Indiana 47933. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Hunt & Son Funeral Home.
