James Mitchell of Crawfordsville
died Monday in St.
Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis.
He was 82.
Mr. Mitchell
retired from
Stalcop at
Thorntown. He served in the
Navy, post World War II reconstruction
and in the Korean
War. He was a member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars. He
attended Danville schools.
He was born June 17,
1928, at Danville, IL. He married
Iris Sobkoviak. She died
in 2008.
Survivors include a daughter,
Susan Allison of Crawfordsville;
two sons, Marty
(Sue) Mitchell of Terre Haute
and Joe Mitchell of Carmel;
six grandchildren; and nine
Great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled
for 10 a.m. Thursday in
St. Bernard's Catholic Church,
with Father Dennis Faker officiating.
He will be cremated
following the funeral. Friends
may call from 4-8 p.m.
