James Newby of Crawfordsville died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday
in Williamsburg Heatlhcare. He was 67.
Mr. Newby was a retired carpenter from B&L Engineering.
He was born June 14, 1943, at Ladoga, to Chester L. and
Juanita Sloan Newby.
Surviving are four sisters, Carolyn Sue Woodard of Thorntown,
Ruth A. Craddock of Straun, Texas, Pamela (Billy) Melton
of Arlington, Texas and Cheryl (Patrick) Halle of Crawfordsville;
an two brothers, John (Roxana) Newby of Goose Creek, S.C.,
and Stephen Polk of Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Hunt
& Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., with Pastor Dennis
Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery South.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m.Wednesday.
