Obituary
James A. Parsons, 80, of Crawfordsville, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Hickory Creek at Crawfordsville.
Born May 17, 1928, he was the son of the late Homer C. and Mary Devitt Parsons. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1946.
Mr. Parsons was retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical workers. He also owned and operated Jimmy's Rentals and Beauty Shop for many years.
Surviving are a brother, John "Bob" (wife: Martha) of Crawfordsville; and a sister, Marilyn Updike (husband: Richard)of West Lafayette.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Delores Bonwell and Jeanette Parsons
Visitation 12-2 p.m. Thursday with memorial service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Grant Avenue.
