James A. Remley, 82 of Darlington passed away Monday at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.

He was born January 6, 1935 in LaSalle, IL to Adrian and Gladys Peeples Remley.

He was a retired salesman and served 8 years in the Indiana National Guard 139th Field Artillery Darlington unit where he was a Sergeant. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church and a member of the Elks.

He married Louanna Booher on Dec 27, 1998, she survives.

Also surviving are; Son Chad Remley of Miltonvale, KS; daughter- Sheila Remley Howard of Wingate; Stepsons Gary Cox of Darlington, Mike Cox of Darlington, and Scott Cox of Waynetown; Step Daughters Melinda Irby of West Lafayette and Felicia O'Bold of Noblesville. He has four grandchildren Kate Remley, Eileen Remley, James Remley and Jesse Howard as well as several Step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen.
