James Frederick Thompson, 86 of New Ross passed away on Thursday
April 18, 2019. He was born to James Otto Thompson and Neomi Iva Cox
on December 3, 1932. James served in the Airforce from 1952 – 1956.
He retired from Inland Container in 1994. He was a member of the
Moose Lodge, American Legion, The Eagles Lodge, and New Ross
Conservation Club.
James (Jimmy) Thompson is survived by his sister Elizabeth Bartlett,
sons Stacy (Frances), Scott (Sheri), Joseph (Shannon) and James M.
(Beth), Grandchildren Emery, Rylie, Jeroen, Evan, Elyse, and Olivia. He
was preceded in death by a sisters Helen and Janet and brothers Henry
and Jerry.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 25 at 10:00am at Hunt & Son
Funeral Home. Pastor Randy Glenn will be officiating. Burial will be at the Waynetown Masonic
Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm – 7:00pm on
Wednesday, April 24 at the funeral home.
