On Saturday morning God opened Heavens gates for our devoted Mother Janet M. Allen.
She had fought a two year battle with cancer and has received a new and whole body with Jesus, never giving up on her faith.
She was born Janet Merrill Coahran on March 11, 1933 to Norwin (Jim) and Juanita (Sid) Coahran. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1951. She met and married Gerald Allen may 10, 1952 for 56 years before his passing.
Janet was a member of First Baptist Church and former member of Christ United Methodist Church. She retired from Lithonia Lighting after 26 years.
She is survived by her children Linda (Charles) Weaver of Enid, OK; Vickie Cantor of Conroe, TX; and Gerald "Bud" Allen of Crawfordsville. Seven grand children and 13 great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Ted, Jimmy, Jerry Coahran, and infant brother, 1 sister Phyllis Coahran, and 1 Great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Isaac Zull officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call from 1-3 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
