Janet Louise Meece, 78 passed away Sunday at her home. She was born April 18, 1934 in Terre Haute to Blye & Lillian Leonard Moody. She married Ivan E Meece in 1954 he preceded her in death September 1982.
She had worked at RR Donnelly, she had been a waitress for 30 years working at the Holiday Inn and the Redwood Inn. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, the Hospital Auxiliary since 1999, Blankets Covering Montgomery County since 2005, Legion Auxiliary and she was an avid Bowler. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons Daniel B (Anna) Meece of Crawfordsville and David E (Vicki) Meece of Tustin, CA. She is also survived by her longtime special friend Jim Jones and his extended family. Two sisters Delores Frazier and Anita Murphy both of Crawfordsville also survive. She has 4 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Vera Dinius, Parents and Step Mother Fannie Moody.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Horton and Ken Baldauff officiating. Interment will be in the Indian Creek Cemetery.
