Janet Sue Merrill, daughter of Alonze Jewell & Victoria (Birge) Merrill, born February 6, 1947, passed away May 1, 2025, in Lafayette.

Janet graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1965. She worked as a quality control inspector for Essez Wire International for 14 years and Impex for 11 years.

Later, she was employed at Shell and Speedway convenience stores until retirement.  She enjoyed watching NASCAR and football.

Survivors include her Sister-in-law, Betty Bishop, Nephew Joashua David Merrill, Special friends Vicki and Mike Bollman, Keith Smith, Michael Bollman, and several cousins.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carolynn (1938), Brothers Larry Dean Merrill (1994), Garry Joe Merrill (2003), and Roger Dale Merrill (2019).

Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North. There will be no services per Janet's wishes.
