Jerry Lee Walls, 91 of Lafayette, formerly of Crawfordsville passed away Friday at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette.

He was born in Lawrenceville, IL to Earl and Aleen Benson Walls.  Jerry served in the US Army 1950-52 serving in Korea.

He worked at RR Donnelley and Sons in the Ink department. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and the VFW in Crawfordsville and Lawrenceville, IL. He married Thelma Mae Moody in February of 1953, she preceded him in death January 1955. On November 19, 1955 he married Phyllis J. Lamb, she preceded him in death May 15, 2018.

Survivors include 5 children: Judy (Brent) Gleason or Martinsville, IN, Bob Cosby of New Ross, IN, Sue Ann (Jeff) Kincade of Silver Springs, FL, Mike (Debbie) Walls of Robinson, IL, Janet (Buddy) Benford of Chattanooga, TN; 11 Grandchildren: Stacey Gresbach, Melissa Junkin, Kelly Rosen, Karey Verduin, Kim Culvahouse, Tiffany Raymond, Kevin Walls, Rachel Hernandez, Jennifer Matherly, Jeremy Benford, and 25 great grandchildren. He has on brother Kenneth Walls of Lawrenceville, IL and a sister Mae Engle of Marion, IL surviving.

He was preceded in death by a son Tom Walls; his brothers Earl, Noble, Clyde and Randall; Sister Mary Lou Burgner, Wanda Dickerson and Virginia Smith as well as a granddaughter Laura Beth Kincade Beedle.

Funeral services will be held 12:00pm Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Whicker officiating.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.  Interment will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery with military rites at graveside.
