Jesse Earl Delano, 87, of Crawfordsville passed away at home on Friday.
Jesse was a farmer, and had retired from RR Donnelley after 40 years. He was a member of New Market Baptist Church.
He was born February 19, 1929 in Barnard, IN to Ernest & Inez Coons Delano. On May 29, 1949 he married Dorothy Fagan, they were married for 67 years. She survives.
Also surviving are his children Mark (Bev) Delano of New Richmond & Janet Clark of Crawfordsville; Brother Albert Delano of Avon and Loyal (Patsy) Delano of Crawfordsville; Sisters Thelma Crabtree of Brownsburg and Lola (Leonard) Shermer of Crawfordsville; and Daughter in law Sylvia Delano. He has 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Jesse was preceded in death by his son Mike Delano, daughter Judith Delano, Brothers Paul, John, Raymond and Robert as well as Sisters Doris McLaughlin, Kate Neff and Annie Roe.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Tami Mussche officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7 Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
