Joan F. Brooks, 90, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Brooks was a homemaker. She was born Nov. 17, 1926, at Crawfordsville, to Virgil and Frances (Jackman) Endicott. She married C.J. Brooks on March 20, 1949. He preceded her in death Dec. 2, 2011

Survivors include: three sons, David (Peggy) Brooks, Markle, Indiana, Jon Brooks, Granada Hills, California, and Jeff Brooks, Crawfordsville; daughter Phyllis (Roger) Kenny, Crawfordsville; two brothers, Virgil Endicott Jr. and Frank (Donna) Endicott and one sister, Nancy (Bob) Cook, all of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren, Christopher and Adam Kenny, Juliette (Andy) Boggs, Joseph (Trisha) Brooks, Jared Brooks, Alan Brooks, Amanda Brooks and Shauna Brooks; and six great-grandchildren, Gavin Kenny, Wesley and Cora Brooks, Harrison and Desmond Boggs and Isabella Berry.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by one brother and one sister.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, is in charge of arrangements.
