John C. Keesee, 83, of Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday at 5:35 p.m. at Seton Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.
Mr. Keesee was born Dec. 25, 1924 to Herbert and Atlanta Kennedy Keesee.
He attended Crawfordsville High School. He is a retired Crawfordsville Firefighter, carpenter and building inspector. He married Ina Hall on June 6, 1943. She survives. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Calvary Chapel, American Legion and Class of 43 Lunch Bunch.
He is survived by sons, Steve (Pam) Keesee of Little Rock, Ark., David (Angie) Keesee of Crawfordsville, Tom (Dee) Keesee of Ft. Wayne and Jeff (Kathleen) Keesee of Crawfordsville; daughter, Sharon Larew of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brother, Earnie Keesee of Mooresville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Alice Herath, Martha Lancaster; brothers, James, George and Frank Keesee; and son-in-law, James Larew.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor David Keesee officiating. Burial is at Oak Hill Cemetery South with military rites.
Friends and family can pay their respects from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
