John R. Michael, 59, Crawfordsville passed away at 4:30 PM Friday at St. Clare Medical Center.

Mr. Michael worked in the bindery department at R.R. Donnelly and Sons where he has been since 1965. He was a member of The Donnelly Club as well an an avid bowler and member of various softball leagues.

He was born April 30 1946, at Crawfordsville, to Donald Michael, Sr. and Evelyn Shahan Michael. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1964. On April 5, 1996 he married Kathryn Willis at Gatlinburg, TN. She survives at Crawfordsville.

Also surviving are his mother at Crawfordsville; one son, Patrick (Tonya) at Crawfordsville; two daughters, Andrea Thompson of Crawfordsville and Rachel (Robert) Rasp of Brownsburg; two stepdaughters, Michelle (Tom) Norman and Jennifer Willis, both of Crawfordsville, one brother, Steven Michael of Thorntown and one half brother, Dutchie Michael of Texas, one sister, Patti (Doug) Merrill of Colfax. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, one brother, Mike Michael and a half sister, Peggy Grimes.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Jewell officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call 4-8 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Heart Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
