Obituary
John R. Peterman of Crawfordsville died at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Williamsburg Healthcare. He was 82.
Mr. Peterman was born on Oct. 24, 1926, to parents William J. and Stella (Howe) Peterman.
He retired in 1989 from RR Donnelley's and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. He was married to Rosemary Howard, who preceded him in death in 1994.
Additional survivors include his son, Mark, of Crawfordsville, brother William E. Peterman of Crawfordsville, sisters Marilyn S. Sherrill in Clinton, Carolyn Lichtenwalter in Crawfordsville and Betty Volk of Highland.
He also leaves behind four grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Mace Cemetery, offiated by The Rev. David Hellman.
Burial will take place at Mace Cemetery with VFW and American Legion Rites.
