Obituary

John "Dugan" Roche, 83, of Crawfordsville, peacefully passed away on April 28, 2023.

Dugan was born on January 16, 1940, to John and Betty Roche in Crawfordsville. He was a

graduate from Crawfordsville High School, where he excelled in athletics.

After graduation, Dugan worked for the masonry family business (Roche Masonry) for several

years. He assisted with building up the town of Crawfordsville. For the last 37 years, he was

part of the North Montgomery School Corporation as a bus driver.

He married Jackie Delp in 1970, going on to raise five beautiful children. Family meant more to

him than anything else in the world. When Dugan wasn't at work or home, he could be found at

his grandchildren's sporting events, gardening with his brother, Tim, or watching Notre Dame

football (GO IRISH) and Cubs baseball.

All that knew Dugan knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask

for. He was kind-hearted, generous, funny, and thoroughly enjoyed life.

Dugan was predeceased by his parents, John and Betty, wife, Jackie, and sister, Becky Ritter. He

is survived by his siblings Susie McClamroch, Ginny Peterman (Bob), and Tim; children Kim

Taylor (Charlie), Lori Quigg, Jane Kincaid (Dean), and John, along with many grandchildren and great

grandchildren.

Dugan Roche was loved by all and will be missed dearly.

The family requests that flowers notes be sent to Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant

Ave, Crawfordsville, IN 47933, and flowers to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The

Darlington American Legion, 201 South St. Darlington, IN 47940 c/o John Roche.

The viewing service is Thursday, May 4, 2023, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, at St. Bernard's Catholic

Church, 1306 E Main St, Crawfordsville, IN 47933 followed by a funeral mass Friday, May 5,

2023 at 11:00 am.
