Joseph W. Mitton, 50 passed away Tuesday in his home.
He was born April 8, 1961 to Billy & Lois Newman Mitton in Crawfordsville. Joe served his country in the US Navy. He was a Firefighter/Inspector for the Crawfordsville Fire Department. Joe was a member of Crawfordsville Community Church, Crawfordsville Professional Firefighters Local 4143, American Legion, and the Burning Hearts Emmaus Community.
Joe is survived by his Wife Renee, Mother Lois, Stepsons Matthew (Brandy) Edwards of Brazil; Jason Thomas of Crawfordsville. Sister Deanna L. Zieglar of Indianapolis, Nephew D. Justin Zieglar of Hillsboro. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Saturday February 11 at New Hope Christian Church with Ryan Threlkeld officiating. Friends may call from 10:00am to 2:00pm Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Military Rites and Fire Department honors.
