Obituary

Judith "Judy" Cord, age 90, of Crawfordsville, passed away January 26, 2021, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.

She was born May 4, 1930, in Montgomery County, a daughter of the late Curtis and Faye Quigg.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard Cord; one brother, Lyle Wayne Quigg; and two sisters, Lucille Hopkins and Lois Fairfield.

Judy was wonderfully devoted to her two children, Brian (Linda) Cord and Kimberly Rice (Steve Ritthemal) and a loving grandmother to Erin (Kyle) True, Alex (Lindsey) Cord, Alanna Rice, and Sienna Ritthamel. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, Brady, Remy and Liam Cord, Maddox and Hudson True, and Albie Rice. She leaves behind one sister, Dorothy (Florey) Waye and many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

She was the woman with the most contagious laugh, the warmest of hugs, and a smile that greeted anyone and everyone that came in her path. She was adored by all and admired by the rest. So as the door closes to this life and she begins her life anew…may we remember this woman for everything she was worth.

Thank you for the years, thank you for the memories, and thank you for your love that will remain in our hearts forever. We'll always love you more.

Services will be held at Hunt and Son Funeral Home on Friday, January 29, 2021. Visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m., and funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Hill South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
