Mrs. Julia (Huxhold) Wicks passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on March 13, 2016 at the age of 57.
Julia is survived by her husband Steve Wicks of Crawfordsville; Brother Gary Huxhold and his wife Teresa of Crawfordsville; Niece Amanda Bannon her husband Jeff and their children Abby, Alyx & Henry of Crawfordsville; and Nephew Mike Podell and his wife Kristen of South Bend, IN.
Julia was born on September 12, 1958 in Crawfordsville to Henry and Helen Huxhold. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1976. She began working for Houston Group Homes on January 15, 1985 where she held the director position for the past seven years. Julia married her husband Steve on March 29, 2003 in St. Thomas. Over the course of nearly 14 years Julia battled many health issues. Julia always kept her head up and met new challenges head on. Sadly she lost her fight to heart failure.
Julia loved volleyball and she assisted at Crawfordsville High School for a number of years. She loved all types of sports and was passionate about Purdue Basketball, Colts Football and Blackhawks Hockey. Julia was a member of Rock Point church, AERIE Eagles Lodge #1007, and Crawfordsville Moose Lodge #6.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday March 19 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 4-8 Friday.
