Karen Sue Bennett, 73, Crawfordsville, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.

She was born May 4, 1952 in Crawfordsville to John Charles and Barbara Jean (Harris) Thompson.  She married Sam Bennett and he survives.

She had worked at Crawford Industries, Crawfordsville Community School corporation, Dave Stetler Chevrolet and Sears Optical. She had belonged to Sing Out of Montgomery County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandsons.

Survivors include son, Brian and his son, Luke of Crawfordsville, daughter, Lisa (Chris) Hartman and their children, Brody and Riley, also of Crawfordsville, siblings, Cindy Thompson Willaman of Illinois and Chuck Thompson of Bloomington, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vicky Thompson Lamson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday September 18 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
