Kathleen Suzanne Burkhart, 74 of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday December 29 ^th at home surrounded by her family.

She had worked as the gate attendant at Shades State Park, She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church where she volunteered. The was also a volunteer at St. Clare Hospital, was an Avon Rep for many years and served as a Cub Scout Den Mother.  Kathy enjoyed meeting the girls at McDonalds and Arbys, She enjoyed garage sales and shopping.  She loved camping and fishing with her husband Dave, but most of all spending time with her family and cooking for them was a passion in her life.

Kathy was born July 31, 1942 in Piedmont, West Virginia to Dewey & Mary Catherine McGoye Amoruso. On June 8, 1963 she married David Burkhart, he preceded her in death on November 10, 2008.  She is survived by her sons Barry (Patricia) Burkhart and William (Carrie) Burkhart, Grandchildren Whitney (Ryan) Rippy, Darrin Burkhart, Chandler Burkhart, Victoria (Kyle) Hunt, and Taylor Burkhart. She had 2 great grandchildren Lillie and Reagan. Also surviving are her sister Margaret Dunn Stacy and Sister IN law Katherine Burkhart and her family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Father Christopher Shocklee officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 Tuesday.  Cremation will follow the service.
