Obituary
Kathryn Irene Melvin, 90, Crawfordsville, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday July 28, 2010 at her residence.
She retired from R.R. Donnelly's as a bindery worker. She graduated from Wallace High School
Born June 30, 1920, at Wallace, she was the daughter of Albert Davidson and Bertha (Corbin) Davidson. She married Ward Melvin. He died on Jan. 26, 1986.
Survivors include: a son, Ernest A. (Kathy) Melvin, of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Charlene A. Melvin Booe, of Bismark, Ill.; a sister, Joan Nicoson, of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Remley; brothers, Jim Davidson and Donald Davidson; sisters, Maxine Davidson and Betty Barnett; grandson, Tim Rogers; and great-grandchildren, Danielle and Elizabeth Rogers.
The funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery South. Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice, the American Cancer society or a charity of donors choosing.
