Obituary
Kathryn "Katy" Powell, 96, Crawfordsville, died Thursday in Lane House Nursing Home.
Mrs. Powell was retired from Ben Hur Life Insurance Company. She was a graduate of Waveland High School and Indiana Business School.
She was born Oct. 31, 1909, at Waveland, to Sanford N. and Catherine T. Hastaday Moody. She married Russell "Bud" Powell on Oct. 11, 1931. He died May 28, 1956.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip R. (Sue) Powell, Naples, Fla., and Michael N. (Susan) Powell, Cypress, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Numerous brothers and sisters are deceased.
A private memorial service with immediate family will be scheduled.
Memorials may be made to the Crawfordsville Sunshine Bus Program.
