Kenneth Ray Cowans, 57, of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024, at his home.

He was born Jan. 7, 1967, at Indianapolis, to Arthur and Flonnie (Taylor) Cowans.

Kenny attended Decatur Central High School and was a jack of all trades. He had worked most recently at Chewy.com in Clayton and Nice Pak in Plainfield. Kenny enjoyed simply being outdoors.

Kenny is survived by wife Angelique (Bennington); father-in-law Dale Bennington of Cloverdale; mother-in-law and card partner, Alice Hacker; son Christopher Cowans and his partner Justin Rice; step-daughteårs, Heather Burger and Hanna Bedman (fiancé Joel Wade); and eight grandchildren, Prestyn, Addyson, Bentlee, Colten, Paislee, Ariella, Zayleigh and Abigail; sister Payton Cowans of Indianapolis; and brother Raymond Cowans of Nancy, Kentucky.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hunt & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family.
