Kenneth R. (Rick) Eyler Jr, 70, of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday July 9th at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette, IN.

Rick was born September 3, 1952 in Crawfordsville to Kenny and Roz (Bottorff) Eyler, both deceased.  Rick graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1970 and then began his career at RR Donnelley & Sons for the next 39 years, holding multiple positions.  Rick was a member of the Eagles and the Sons of the American Legion.

On November 17, 1979 Rick married the love of his life, Beverly "Bev" Miller, she survives.  Also surviving are his children, Amanda (Trevor) Hohenstein and Matt (Abra) Eyler; grandchildren Dylan, Sydney, Carter, Noah and Camden.  Also surviving is a brother Mike (Anita) Eyler and several nieces and nephews.

Rick held many titles in his lifetime, but his favorites were as a husband, father, and papaw. Rick touched so many hearts, always had the best words of wisdom, and he loved his family.  He didn't know a stranger and was the best garage host around.  He enjoyed fishing, playing euchre, and watching every sporting event his kids and grandkids participated in.

A funeral service will be held at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 14 with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.  Cremation was chosen and will follow the service.
