Kent Meyer, 67, Crawfordsvile, died 2:50 a.m. Friday at
IU Medical Center.
Mr.Meyer was a manager at R.R. Donnelley. He worked
here for 37 years, retiring in 1999.
His memberships included St. John's Episcopal Church
where he was active serving in many capacities, Montgomery
County Leadership Academy, and he was a former
member of the Youth Service Bureau Board. He was
educated in Chicago schools and graduated from Purdue
University where he was a member of the Purdue Glee
Club and Acacia Fraternity.
He was born June 26, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., to Orville
and Catherine Pattison Meyer. He married Carole Mommsen
Aug. 30, 1963. She survives.
Also surviving are daughter Karen (Bill) Taylor, South
Haven, Mich., and Suzanne (Monte) Thompson, Crawfordsville;
sister Leslie MacAfee, Marlborough, Mass.;
and five grandchildren; Sarah & Brian Taylor, Andrew, Davis, and Kristen Thompson.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday March 21st, at
St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Todd Kleffman
officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service in Whitlock
Hall of the church.
