Kevin Lee Gerold, 47, Crawfordsville, died Monday in his residence.
Mr. Gerold was a big fan of Tony Stewart and Nascar and he also loved to camp.
Mr. Gerold worked for Raybestos and Holiday Inn. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #325, which he later became assistant scout master of, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in 1979. He was also a member of Order of the Arrow and First Baptist Church.
He was a 1979 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.
He was born June 25, 1960 at Crawfordsville to Laurel Frederick and Juanita Darleen (Stockdale) Gerold.
He is survived by his father, a sister, Geraldine (Jeff) Stewart, Crawfordsville; and two brothers, Laurel F. Gerold Jr.; and John (Karen) Gerold, both of Crawfordsville; nine nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and newphews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and a brother, Gregg Gerold.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery South. Visitation hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
