Kiyoe Louise (Kotaki) Mapps, 80, of Crawfordsville died peacefully in hospice care while surrounded by loving family on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014.
She was born at Glasgow, Montana, to Lottie and Art Kotaki, and graduated from Montana State College in Bozeman, Mont. She worked as a medical technologist in Oregon, Illinois and Indiana.
Kiyoe and her husband, Howard, met in a Civic Theater production in Fort Wayne, and were married in Geneva, Ill. Their daughter Sarah was born in 1966. The family also lived in Ridgewood, N.J., for several years. When Howard retired, the family moved to Crawfordsville, where Kiyoe worked at Wabash College (Howard's alma mater) for nearly 20 years.
Kiyoe is survived by her daughter Sarah, her sister Ruth and her brother Jack, and their families.
