Obituary

Larry Dean Fulwider was born on March 26, 1942, in
Crawfordsville, IN to Ray Benjamin Fulwider and Virginia
Mae (Hole) Fulwider. He died at home, surrounded by family,
on September 12, 2010, in Concord, NC.
Growing up in Crawfordsville, Larry graduated Crawfordsville
High School in 1960, and went on to study engineering
at Rose Poly Tech in Terre Haute, IN.
Larry began his 44 year career
with R.R. Donnelley in Crawfordsville,
IN. He was a leader in the
1980 Harrisonburg, VA startup, and
retired, thousands of spreadsheets
later, in 2004.
Larry was blessed with a great
family; his wife Linda (Van Hook)
Fulwider and four children: Mark
Fulwider and wife, Pam, of Concord,
NC; Joni Riggen, and husband,
Tony, of Rockville, IN; Laura
Ann Puffenbarger, and husband, Al, in Sugar Grove, WV;
and Brandon Fulwider, and wife, Teri, of Waynesboro, VA.
Larry's legacy includes a multitude of grandchildren, and
great grandchildren.
He was a committed member of the Metrolina Control
Line Society at Waymer Field in Huntersville, NC. Larry's
passionate control line flying involved him in various competitions
along the eastern seaboard over the last few
years. On any wind-free day Larry could be found in the
middle of the flying circle practicing his stunt routines. He
will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive guests at Hunt and Son Funeral
Home in Crawfordsville, IN on Friday, September 17, from
1 to 3 PM; the grave side service, officiated by Elder Paige
King of Salem, VA, will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
