Larry Gene Rutledge, 63 passed away Tuesday at Carle Hospital in Champaign, IL.
He was born December 16, 1948 to Robert & Nadine Rutledge. Larry Graduated high school in 1968 and entered the US Army in January of 1972. He was discharged in 1984 having served during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the American Legion Post 72. His passion was his guns. He bought guns and gave them to people who meant something to him.
He married Connie J. Hallett on January 27, 1968, she survives. Also surviving are his four children Greg (Jenny) Rutledge, Vickie (Daren) Wunderlich of Colorado Springs, Sandra (Shane) Hutchison , Bo (Kitty) Rutledge, and adopted son Curtis Fast all of Crawfordsville. He has a brother Robert (Cher) Rutledge Jr. of Greencastle and Sister Karla (Sonny) Johnson of Pinckneyville, IL surviving. He has 7 Grandchildren and loved them all. He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother Jerry.

Funeral Services will be 4:00pm Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Glenn officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 on Friday. Interment will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery at a later time. Larry's request was to have anyone he bought a gun for to come to his house at 11:00am Saturday and shoot a volley in remembrance.
