Larry D. Whittinghill, 72 of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville.

He was retired as a machinist from RR Donnelly's and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He was a 1962 graduate of Granville Wells. Larry enjoyed fishing, camping and heading out to nowhere. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Larry was born August 31, 1944 in Louisiana, Missouri to Floyd S. & Dorcas L. Thompson.  He married Chetra Overfelt Sutton on July 25, 1998, she survives.

Also surviving are his son Tracey (Lois) Whittinghill of Waynetown, daughter Trisha Warren of Jeffersonville, Step children Heather Rudell of Indianapolis and Thomas Sutton of St. Louis, and a brother Frank (Shirley) Whittinghill of Crawfordsville.  He has nine grandchildren, CJ Warren, Emily Warren, Jade Hernandez, Blake Whittinghill, Josie Whittinghill, Dayna Kalaba, Heath Kalaba, Aaliyah Sutton, and Ashlyn Sutton as well as 5 great grandchildren and niece and nephew Kim and Brian Whittinghill.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Old Union Cemetery, Jamestown.  Visitation will be from 4-8 Wednesday at the funeral home with masonic rites at 7:30pm.  Casual attire is requested.
