Lawrence Ralph Houx Sr., age 68, passed away October 14, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones and friends.

Larry was born on January 27, 1952 in Chicago, IL to Alfred and Marion Houx.

Larry graduated from Hammond Tech in 1970-71 and afterward joined the US Army where he served as a cook and medic from 1971-1973, he then joined the National Guard in 1973 until 1975.

Larry was a member of Second Baptist Church in Crawfordsville from 2009-2015 before joining New Life Church in 2015. He loved attending church and helping in any way he could. Larry also enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions. He loved the Indianapolis Colts and watching movies with his son.

Larry is survived by his fiancé Cathy Darnell, Ex-wife Dorothy Houx; His children Marion (Miguel) Sanabria and Lawrence Houx; grandchildren Mariah, Krystle, and Xavier; Sisters Beverly and Lovena; and his nieces, nephews, friends and his caregiver Carmen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Marion, two sisters Sarah and Anna, Brothers Dennis, James, and Tom; and granddaughter Zoey.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday at New Life Church, 1434 Darlington Ave, Crawfordsville, IN with Pastor Terry Gobin officiating.  Interment will follow at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 Friday at the church.
