Lee D. Barnett, 80 of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.
He was born June 16, 1934 in Waynetown to Carroll and Lela Switzer Barnett. Lee graduated from Waynetown High School in 1952. He worked for Borden Ice Cream Co for 37 ½ years, 1955-67 in Crawfordsville, and 1967-1992 in Indianapolis. He was a drummer & band leader for "Total Due Dance Band" as well as a lifetime member of Musician Union Local #3. Lee also was a guest host of the Paul Dixon Show. He was a life member of Christian Union Church, Waynetown
Lee was married to Sue Ann Otterman in 1956. She preceded in death in 1971. He married Barbara Combs in 1979. She preceded in death in 2006.
Lee is survived by his children Kimberli (Robert) Mason, Brett (Michelle) Barnett & Britt (Belinda) Barnett; stepson Jeff (Stephanie) Bayless; brother Lowell (Betty) Barnett; grandchildren Ryan Mason, Mikayla, Mackenzie, Brendan Barnett, Christaan, Brittani, & Olivia Barnett as well step grandchildren Hali Foxworthy, Taylor Bayless, Kristin (Logan) Myers, and Lacie (Levi) Hill and step great grandchild Alexis Myers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Toyia Susan Barnett, son Gregg D. Barnett, stepson Allen Bayless, and step great grandchild Opal Hill.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Tom McCormick officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 4-8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
