Lloyd Dorsey, 88 Formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away December 26 in Buffalo NY Where he had lived since July 2011 following the death of his wife.

He was born February 24, 1929 in Crawfordsville to Raymond C. & Genevieve Brannon Dorsey. He was a 1947 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. Lloyd served in the US Army in Korea 195-1951 where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Korean Service Medal with 3 bronze service stars.

He retired from RR Donnelly after 44 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW. Lloyd was active in civic affairs having served on the Park Board where he was president for 4 years and the City Council where he was president 4 years.

He married Patricia A. Reinhardt in Crawfordsville on April 19, 1953, She preceded him in death February 1, 2011. Survivors include his son James (Companion Gretchen McFarland) of Indianapolis; Daughter Lisa (Alex) Blair of Buffalo, NY; Granddaughter Allyson M. (Kyle) Blair Shanley of Buffalo, NY; Grandson Patrick G. (Paris) Blair of Puyallup, WA and great grandson Collin Lloyd Blair.

A private family committal will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery with military rites.
