Lois Margaret McGinnis McMullen, 89, of New Ross passed away in Cartersville, GA.
Mrs. McMullen was a farmer's wife, a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was a member of the Mace United Methodist Church, Roachdale Order of Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed several card clubs and was a published poet.
She was born on June 22, 1921 in Fountain County near Kingman to Bessie Maude Atkinson McGinnis and Arista Parvin McGinnis. She graduated from Wallace HS in 1940 and worked for Western Union, then Delco Remy. She married Lowell Leonard McMullen (March 14, 1922 – June 17, 1997) on February 28, 1946, at Mace UMC.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Selby, two sons, David of Jacksonville, FL and Dwain of Woodbridge, VA; a daughter, Denise Hutchinson of Cartersville, GA; five grandchildren; one step grandchild; five great grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Elmer and Arista and a sister, Gladys.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roger Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Mace Cemetery. Friends may also call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home.
