Lue Poore

Lue Poore, 90, of Crawfordsville, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born February 12, 1936, in Glasgow, KY, to Willie and Gertie Matthews Bushong. She married Elmer W. Poore in June 5, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1981.

Lue worked in several factories over the years, including Lithonia Lighting (Now Acuity) in Crawfordsville.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca Lue Ganter, Walter Raymond Poore, Elmer Clayton Poore, Paul Lee (Amie) Poore, Mark Wayne (Kim) Poore, and Mary Elizabeth (Jeff) Daniels. She has 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Bushong; Daughter Cynthia Long; Brothers Tom, Leo, Jimmy, and Raymond; Sisters Marie Gravens and Elizabeth Wineger. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm- 2:00 PM on Thursday. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
